SearchingkidRECORDING: Organising the information you have found

SOME IDEAS TO HELP YOU GET STARTED:

1. Write down headings for each section of your work.

2. Read through the information sources you have, and make notes.

3. Write keywords under each heading, using only FACTS.

4. Write a rough draft of your assignment, using a separate page for each heading.

5. Decide where to place your illustrations and diagrams.

6. Check your notes:

  • are they accurate?
  • is the meaning clear?
  • is the spelling correct?
  • do they answer the question?

Keep an accurate record of each source you use (this will save you having to hunt for the books you need for the Bibliography later.

NB: Remember you are committing plagiarism when you use information that you have found in your research without acknowledging your sources!!! (see BIBLIOGRAPHIES)
